What we do & what it costs

Price calculation
We calculate our prices for editing based on standard pages (1,500 characters including spaces each), for translations based on standard lines (55 characters including spaces each), and for subtitles based on film/audio minutes (60 seconds each) of the source material.
For some types of jobs (such as layout work or workshops), we can only provide price information on request. For urgent jobs, we add an express surcharge of 25 % to 50 % of the base price, depending on text length and deadline.
Our prices are final prices exempt from VAT in accordance with § 6 (1) no. 27 of the Austrian VAT Act.
Translation & Subtitling
- General translations: €2.00 to €2.40 per standard line
- Academic and technical translations: €2.20 to €2.60 per standard line
- Short translations: starting at €120 per text
- Translation editing: on request
- Translations of names, slogans, marketing texts: on request
- Subtitling (separately or in combination with translation): on request
Editing & Proofreading
- Copy-editing: €12 to €15 per standard page
- Academic and technical copy-editing: €14 to €16 per standard page
- Copy-editing short texts: starting at €90 per text
- Translation editing: on request
- Proofreading: €10 to €12 per standard page
- Proofreading short texts: starting at €70 per text
- Proofing: on request
